The Halfway Inn is a 1940s based restaurant based based in Berkshire located directly between Hungerford and Newbury. The Halfway is actually titled as its location is the old halfway point between Bath and London. The restaurant is easily located by the A34 which flows a vast amount of traffic from Hampshire, though Berkshire and up to Oxfordshire. The Halfway boasts a warm and comfortable environment where ambiance, food, drink and service culminate into a crescendo of excellence.
The Halfway Inn required fresh branding accompanied throughout all of the printed materials by a fully optimised website design. With a 1940s theme throughout complimented by an amazing a la carte menu the visual presence really needed to stand out rom the crowd.
With the use of slick new branding and a high impact website we were able to catapult The Halfway Inn into the competitive market place boasting it’s high end dinning experience. All of our websites are mobile responsive which means a great user experience every time and on every device.
When we set out to develop the branding we researched thoroughly to encapsulate the vibe of the establishment. The dining experience matches the charm of the business so we decided to reflect that in the branding using charming font and a hand drawn flag to reference the ‘halfway’ point between Bath and London. The logo design was then finished off with a clean circular lock up housing the brand with confidence.
Once the branding was completed we moved onto the website design. Again we reference the charm of the restaurant referencing the dining experience with little design decorations and touches throughout. We worked with a local photographer which is always welcomed. Professional photography always takes the visuals of a website to a whole new level.
With the style of the website and user path defined we then built in a booking feature that worked hand in hand with booking websites like trip adviser and booking.com. Using the vibrant image library, we then built a gallery showcasing the charm of the location.
Following the launch of the website and the branding we headed straight back to the studio to work on print materials to support the logo design. Once design, we enlisted a local print company to collaborate with to bring the highest spec finishings to the designs. In all, we completed business cards, flyers, menu designs and tablet talkers.
